Passive House, Aggressive Sitting

I am so fortunate to be here at a training seminar for becoming a certified Passive House Builder.

And it’s so hard to sit still for 8 hours.

Luckily almost everyone here is also a builder, and we’re all having the same problem. It feels so nice to not have to explain why I’m restless, or sit weird, or blurt things out. We’re all used to moving around constantly. We’re all weird. It feels great.

Even the instructors are builders, so we’re all speaking the same language.

I wish school had been this way. Wouldn’t that be something.

About Me

I’m a Superintendent and carpenter (and yes, a woman!). Sometimes being ADHD helps me do my job extraordinarily well. Sometimes it makes it harder. But I’m pretty sure there are a lot of us in the trades. And if nothing else, welcome to a peek of running jobsites, being a woman in the trades, and coping with superpowers.
