The ADHD Carpentress

Managing projects and life with—squirrel!!

Blow and Behold

I walked outside the jobsite today to bring some tools down to the job box, and there were bubbles in the air.

First thought: “Are those really huge raindrops? Have they always been that big or…”

Second thought: “FUCK DID I SHRINK SOMEHOW?”

Basically, incapable of normal thoughts.

In case you’re wondering, the neighbors were blowing bubbles for their grandchild. It was beautiful and I told them how much it brightened my day. After I sighed in relief that I was still normal sized, of course. That part I didn’t tell them.

About Me

I’m a Superintendent and carpenter (and yes, a woman!). Sometimes being ADHD helps me do my job extraordinarily well. Sometimes it makes it harder. But I’m pretty sure there are a lot of us in the trades. And if nothing else, welcome to a peek of running jobsites, being a woman in the trades, and coping with superpowers.
